If you missed out on Jason Joshua & The Beholders’ first release, the Latin-soul stomper “Rose Gold”, you best not sleep on their sophomore cut! “I Don’t Care Pt 1 & 2” is a heavy slow roller that features the doo-wop stylings of The Colossians over a chugging organ and percussion that brings you back to the deep Northern Soul cuts from the mid ’60’s. This record is a gem, real deal soul for the 21st century in the same vein as some of the cuts in Ben Pirani’s How Do I Talk To My Brother. Not to be missed! Released by Mango Hill Records and pressed on “rum & coke” colored vinyl.
