Sabian 13″ B8X Hi-Hats
The Sabian 13″ B8X Hi-Hats deliver crisp, articulate response with medium weight that cuts cleanly through a mix. These cymbals offer responsive stick definition and clean separation, making them ideal for recording sessions across rock, pop, and fusion. The tight, controlled character translates well to both close-miked and room-captured drum tracking.
Construction & Alloy Composition
Built from B8 Alloy (92% copper, 8% tin), these cymbals combine durability with warm, controlled tonal qualities. The medium strength specification balances projection with nuance, allowing the cymbals to sit precisely in a mix without excess wash or bleed into adjacent drum mics.
Hammering & Lathing Techniques
The machine-hammered bells and improved computer hammering over the bow create consistent, focused articulation across the playing surface. Pinpoint lathing refines the cymbal profiles for predictable stick response and clarity in closed and open positions—essential for capturing defined hi-hat articulation during tracking and layering.
