SABIAN 14″ HHX Click Hat Botttom

SABIAN 14″ HHX Click Hat Bottom

The HHX Click Hat Bottom delivers a tight, cutting response with its fully lathed surface and medium weight construction. This cymbal sits low in the mix with a dark tonal character, making it an excellent choice for recording sessions and dense playing situations where definition is critical. The AA high-profile shape promotes quick articulation and controlled decay, translating to clean takes and minimal bleed into overhead microphones.

Sound & Tone Profile

Built from B20 bronze, this bottom cymbal produces a dark, focused sound that cuts through without harshness. The fully lathed finish enhances clarity and responsiveness, allowing the cymbal to speak immediately when struck and settle quickly—essential for capturing tight, clickable hi-hat articulation in studio recordings and sustaining control across multiple takes.

Construction & Design

At 1248 grams, this medium-weight bottom sits in the sweet spot for balanced response and projection in a mix. The AA high-profile design combined with HH and HHX hammering creates a defined edge and controlled sustain that integrates seamlessly into any drum kit setup, delivering consistent, predictable tone across recording sessions.
