SABIAN 16″ AA Suspended Cymbal
The SABIAN 16″ AA Suspended captures bright, cutting transients that cut through dense mixes with immediate clarity and dynamic presence. Its thin profile and moderate weight respond transparently to strike dynamics, allowing you to shape articulate attacks or swell into sustained washes with equal facility. This cymbal excels in tracking sessions demanding definition without excessive wash or decay, making it ideal for layering in multi-cymbal overhead setups.
Tone & Projection
Built from premium B20 bronze, this suspended cymbal produces a bright, penetrating sound character with moderate pitch spread that maintains definition in dense musical contexts. The balanced sustain and articulate edge make it suitable for both controlled cymbal work and expressive dynamic playing, translating reliably through compression and EQ in the mix.
Construction & Build
The thin thickness combined with a weight of approximately 1.1 kg creates a cymbal that responds quickly to stick contact while remaining durable for regular studio use. This lightweight design reduces fatigue during extended tracking sessions while preserving the sonic complexity expected from SABIAN’s AA series, ensuring consistent performance across multiple takes.
