SABIAN 16″ Artisan Sym Medium Light Single Cymbal
The SABIAN 16″ Artisan Sym Medium Light captures articulate, controlled crashes that respond immediately to stick dynamics without requiring excessive force. This 16″ crash occupies an ideal frequency sweet spot—compact enough to sit cleanly in a dense drum mix yet present enough to cut through without masking other kit elements. The Medium Light weight classification enables nuanced playing technique while delivering professional-grade tone suitable for multitrack recording.
Tone & Sonic Character
Crafted from B20 Bronze, this cymbal yields a rich, warm tone with a splashier character and controlled decay that translates well to close-mic recording and mixing. The traditional high-density hand hammering combined with modern jumbo-peen dimpling on the underside develops complex harmonic layers that remain transparent across dynamic playing, making it versatile for jazz, fusion, and chamber music sessions where clarity and separation matter.
Construction & Durability
Hand-crafted construction ensures each cymbal develops its own voice while maintaining the exacting standards SABIAN is known for. The included straps and cymbal protector provide reliable protection during storage and transport, preserving the cymbal’s finish and tonal properties over years of use.
