SABIAN 18″ AA Suspended Cymbal
The 18″ AA Suspended delivers a bright, penetrating sound with dynamic energy and presence that cuts through a dense mix while remaining responsive to soft dynamics. This size strikes an ideal balance—loud enough for projection in recordings yet sensitive enough for nuanced playing at lower volumes. A proven workhorse for studio sessions and live tracking, it offers extended sustain and genuine versatility for both suspended and crash cymbal applications.
Tone & Sustain Character
Built from professional B20 bronze, this cymbal produces the bright, articulate response characteristic of SABIAN’s AA series. The moderate pitch spread and slightly longer bloom time allow the tone to develop with musicality, making it equally effective for rolling passages and punctuated attacks in the mix—whether tracking contemporary styles or acoustic ensembles.
Design & Construction
The thin profile contributes to responsiveness and dynamic range, while the professional-grade B20 composition ensures durability and tonal consistency across years of regular recording and tracking sessions. This economical design covers suspended cymbal duties and crash cymbal applications, reducing the need for multiple instruments in your studio kit.
