SABIAN 19″ Artisan Suspended Cymbal
The SABIAN 19″ Artisan Suspended delivers a dark, nuanced voice that captures complex harmonic content in studio and live recording contexts. Hand-hammered construction creates responsive articulation and complex sustain, translating subtle dynamic control and intentional strike techniques into recorded definition. Built to sit naturally in ensemble and solo percussion overdub sessions, this cymbal rewards precise mic placement and captures both intimate brush work and assertive strikes with tonal sophistication.
Tonal Characteristics for Recording
The dark sound profile of the Artisan 19″ produces deep, complex harmonic content that integrates cleanly into dense mixes where clarity within ensemble layering is essential. The thin weight classification delivers sensitivity and quick transient response while maintaining substantial projection when recording percussion-driven arrangements in treated and untreated studio spaces.
Construction & Studio Application
Hand-hammered B20 bronze construction ensures the consistent quality and tonal complexity needed for professional multi-take session work and overdub recording. The 19″ size provides versatile response characteristics suitable for both suspended cymbal rolls and crash applications across diverse session percussion arranging and post-production work.
