The Zombies – Begin Here (180g Import Vinyl LP) * * *

The Zombies’ 1965 Debut Album Begin Here on 180g Import LP. Remastered at Abbey Road Studios.

This debut album, was first released on Decca in 1965, when they leapt to fame with ‘She’s Not There’. The smash hit is a highlight, alongside a selection of R&B ‘covers’ that typify the sort of earthy material British bands played in the early 1960s, with renditions of such R&B favorites as ‘Road Runner’ and ‘I Got My Mojo Working’, alongside many fine original compositions by Rod Argent and bassist Chris White.
