Sabian 21″ Medium Ride AAX

Sabian 21″ Medium Ride AAX

The 21″ AAX Medium Ride delivers a noticeably thinner cymbal that cuts through dense mixes with bright, articulate highs while introducing complex, dark lows—a sonic signature that enables crash-like response without compromising traditional ride definition. The smaller, raw bell provides excellent articulation for stick clarity and control, while the larger, rounder hammer peen creates visible surface texture that translates directly into tonal complexity and frequency bandwidth. This is a modern ride engineered for producers and engineers tracking live drums who need versatility and harmonic depth in a single cymbal.

Sound & Tonal Character

The AAX Medium Ride balances brightness with complexity through its distinctive construction. Brighter highs cut through the mix with definition while the thinner weight category and unique hammering style introduce darker, more nuanced frequencies across the cymbal’s range, giving your recordings a wider sonic palette than traditional ride cymbals and exceptional blending flexibility.

Construction & Design

Built from B20 bronze—a premium copper, tin, and silver alloy—this cymbal features a smaller, raw bell with crash-like response capability and a larger-rounder hammer peen that defines its modern character. The brilliant finish enhances clarity and projection across the full frequency spectrum, capturing pristine stick definition during recording sessions.
