Sabian 22″ Thin Ride AAX
The Sabian 22″ Thin Ride AAX delivers a responsive, articulate ride with a small, defined bell that cuts through a mix without excessive weight. Its low mass construction makes it exceptionally playable for extended recording sessions, offering quick stick response and natural decay that translates well to tape. This is a serious workhorse for tracking drums in the studio where clarity and definition in the ride cymbal are non-negotiable.
Tone & Character
Built from B20 bronze, this ride produces a bright, modern tonality with enough wash to support dynamic playing across multiple takes and overdubs. The thin weight specification keeps the fundamental tight and controlled, making it sit cleanly in dense mixes without clouding other instruments or vocal tracks.
Construction & Materials
Hand-tuned craftsmanship ensures each cymbal meets Sabian’s exacting standards for consistency and tonal quality—critical for maintaining sonic coherence across different drum takes and punch-in sessions. The small bell design focuses attack and projection for clear cymbal definition in recorded material, while the low weight makes the cymbal responsive to nuanced stick techniques that capture performance subtleties.
